The Taraba State Government says
it would soon employ a reasonable
number of unemployed youths into
the state civil service to reduce
unemployment in the state.
The Taraba State Commissioner of
Information, Barrister Anthony
Danburan, stated this in Jalingo,
the state capital, while fielding
questions from journalists.
Danburan said as part of Governor
Darius Ishaku’s administration’s
effort towards fulfilling its
campaign promises to the people,
the state government recently
lifted embargo on employment in
the state.
This is apart from the women and
youth empowerment programmes
to enable them become self-
reliance.
Danburan stressed the need for the
Federal Government to put aside
political differences and carry every
one along in order to find a lasting
solution to the problems facing the
nation.
The Commissioner, however,
applauded the role of the media in
nation building and appealed them
not allow themselves to be used by
greedy politicians to achieve their
selfish interest, while he called on
Nigerians to imbibe the spirit
tolerance irrespective any form of
differences to move the country
forward.
